Add a domain & set DNS

Each domain you protect needs to be added to your account and pointed at Spamless via DNS. Only the account owner can add, verify or remove domains; members can view the domain list and its DNS details.

Add the domain

1. Open Domains in the dashboard.
2. Click Add and enter:
   • Domain — e.g. example.com.
   • Mail server (origin) — where we relay the clean mail (your existing mail host), and the port (usually 25).
3. Save. We register the domain and show your DNS instructions.

Set the DNS records

Open the DNS panel on the domain and add the records we display at your DNS provider (each value has a copy button):

• MX, priority 10 — points your domain's mail to Spamless. Remove or lower the priority of your existing MX records (we forward to your origin server).
• SPF (TXT) — v=spf1 include:spamless.dev ~all, so relayed mail authenticates. Merge it with your existing SPF record if you already have one.

Tip: keep a note of your previous MX — it's your origin server, which you entered above.

DNS changes usually appear within minutes; allow up to 48 hours for full propagation.

Verify & activate

Click Verify on the domain. We check that your MX points to us; once it does, the domain switches to Protected and filtering starts automatically. You'll get a confirmation email.

Until then the domain shows Pending ownership: it's on your account, but quarantine, allow/block lists and the spam-sensitivity setting stay locked for it until you've proved control by pointing the MX record at us.

Plan limits

• Basic: 1 domain · Pro: up to 5 · Enterprise: up to 100.

If you hit the limit, the Add form tells you — upgrade your plan to add more.

Remove a domain

From Domains the owner can remove a domain: this stops relaying and frees the domain immediately. (A domain can also show Paused — that's a support-side state where the configuration is kept but relaying is stopped; contact us if you need a domain paused rather than removed.)
